We are currently in a series taking a somewhat “tongue in cheek” look at what we call “Church Life”. For those you have limited exposure to the church, much of what happens within our doors would make a great sit com. So far we have covered, The Uncomfortable Church Welcome and How To Shout In The Black Church (Part 1)
The Bible has a lot to say about praise and worship…
“Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with tambourine and harp.” (Psalm 149:3)
“Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness! Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp! Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals! …” (Psalm 150:1-6)
Nowhere in Scripture is the “pew disturber”, “chicken wing” or “wall shouter” described however, we do have them here for you to consider to become part of your worship portfolio:)
Disclaimer: Exuberant worship is not an indication of Spiritual Maturity. What matters most is not how high you jump but how straight you walk when you come down.
